SHAW CONSTRUCTION CELEBRATES THE GROUNDBREAKING CEREMONY OF PATHWAYS VILLAGE ON THURSDAY, JULY 30

WHO: Shaw Construction; Cardinal Capital Management, Inc.; HomewardBound of the Grand Valley, Inc.; Grand Junction Mayor Phyllis Norris; members of Governor John Hickenlooper’s staff; local, state and federal officials; and the Grand Junction community.

WHAT: Shaw Construction is pleased to build Pathways Village, a new 40-unit permanent supportive housing development located at 564 29 Road that will provide housing and amenities for Grand Junction’s homeless. The development includes: appliances, a computer lab, a community room, in-unit washer and dryers, internet access and a library. It will also provide on-site support services from Hilltop Community Resources. Residents will pay a maximum of 30% of their income in rent. The project is expected to open in June 2016.

WHY: Over the years, homelessness in Grand Junction has been a growing concern. Pathways Village will provide some of these men, women and children with a place to live as well as essential amenities and support services.

WHEN: Thursday, July 30, 2015 at 10 a.m.

WHERE: The site of the future home of Pathways Village located at 564 29 Road, Grand Junction, Colo.
