Nestled in the Roaring Fork Valley, this custom home has sweeping views of the Rocky Mountains. The main entry consists of black-stained cedar boards. Cantilevered wood stair treads lead to the upper level and main living area. The living room consists of a fireplace made of Vals Quartzite and a large sky-light above. The second staircase is made of one inch thick steel plate that is both structure and guardrail. Ground level spaces include three bedrooms with individual baths, a guest suite, mudroom and exercise room. 2016 AIA Housing Award for Architecture, Custom Residences Category.
