The terminal is reminiscent of the Old West train lodges built in the national parks around the turn of the 20th century. The Douglas FIR columns reach higher than 25 feet. Large timbers are stitched together with decorative steel gussets to form an elegant canopy arching over the terminal.

Shaw received the Eagle Award for Excellence in Construction in 1996 and 2002 from the Associated Builders and Contractors.
